Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) assists its member with carbon management by providing a customized workshop

CSA Standards recently partnered with the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) to offer a customized workshop focused on the issues faced by manufacturing companies, facilities affected by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandatory GHG reporting rule that came into effect January 1, and the climate and energy section of Wal-Mart's supplier questionnaire, which is the first phase of its worldwide Sustainable Product Index initiative.

Reduction targets set at 28% by 2020 for all federal government agencies

President Barack Obama has established detailed greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets for all federal departments in an effort to reduce government emissions by 28% by 2020, as called for in Executive Order 13514 on Federal Sustainability issued January 29, 2010. Thirty-five government agencies which must now submit plans by June to the Office of Management and Budget.
