Erik Veldman:Climate Change Project Manager, CSA Standards
Erik Veldman is Climate Change Project Manager with CSA Standards (CSA). The Climate Change office of CSA helps governments and businesses in Canada and the U.S. manage their greenhouse gas footprint using internationally recognized greenhouse gas quantification standards. Mr. Veldman is working with the Manitoba Government to design innovative solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions supported by a web portal to facilitate public access to climate change resources and services. Erik has a degree in biology from McMaster University at Hamilton, Ontario, and a post-diploma certificate in environmental management from Niagara College at St. Catharines, Ontario.
Vice President and Global Category Manager for Climate Change, IHS Inc.
Michael Banville is Vice President and Global Category Manager for Climate Change at IHS Inc., with responsibility for the IHS climate change strategy. As the Global Category Manager for Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Emissions, he works closely with a cross-functional team from across IHS to develop new critical information and insight products and services, and to identify and assess related mergers and acquisition candidates. In his 11 years at IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, Mr. Banville has led several complex, cross-functional initiatives and has worked closely with clients spanning the energy sector. Mr. Banville holds a BA from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College.
