About CSA

CSA Standards is respected worldwide as a leader in standards development and has been instrumental in developing international environmental and carbon management standards. On behalf of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), CSA Standards holds the Secretariat for the committee that developed the ISO 14000 environmental management and ISO 14064 climate change standards. CSA Standards also manages the Canadian Advisory Committees that provide input to other international environmental standards activities.

At CSA, we want to help your business move from awareness to action and to improve its carbon performance. Our focus is on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions because they are a major contributor to climate change.

CSA has developed tools to help organizations measure, report and improve their carbon performance. We start from the principle that you can only manage what you can count. And we aim to help build capacity within your organization to complete your first carbon footprint efficiently and effectively. You can trust our expertise. Not only do we have a team of knowledgeable and experienced advisors, but we also actively measure and report our own carbon footprint.

CSA is serious about preserving the environment. We can help you understand how to get serious about it too. We offer a complete suite of climate change products, services and programs that can move your organization forward.

  1. Advisory Services to help you build a customized action plan.
  2. Application Tools including registries, calculators and dashboards to help you manage data.
  3. Personnel Certification for quantifiers and verifiers to help certify consistent skill sets.
  4. Standards to help ensure consistency in reporting and compliance.
  5. Training to help develop skills and knowledge from introductory to expert.
